Plan your site
- define your audience, what you want to tell them, and what you’d like them to do
- decide how to organize and name your image galleries
- choose a domain name (www.yoursite.com)
Think about your look
- consider a colour palette for your page background, menus, links and more
- choose type styles for your page text
- what will your header look like? Bring us your logo, or let us devise a type treatment for your name
- select slideshow images for your home page, (and text to go with them if you want)
Craft your text
- identify your key messages: what do you want readers to know about you and your work?
- if you’re going to include a blog, consider how you want to use it
- write the content for the pages on your site, and include any links or photos
- show us a first draft. We’ll assess it and provide feedback.
What you need to provide before we start building your site:
- Images – Digital, optimized, properly sized photos and graphics, based on specifications we’ll supply
- Text – Finalized content as a word doc or text file
Once the content is finalized, we’ll meet together for a review and we will start building your site!
