Installation Instructions

Adding New Themes using the Administration Panel

You can install WorkingFolio by using the Add New Themes option in the Appearance sub-menu.

  1. Log in to the WordPress Administration Panel.
  2. Select the Appearance panel, then Themes.
  3. Select Install Themes
  4. Use the Upload link in the top sub-menu to upload the zipped copy of the WorkingFolio Theme that you have previously downloaded to your machine.

Selecting the Active Theme

To select a Theme for your site:

  1. Log in to the WordPress Administration Panel.
  2. Select the Appearance panel, then Themes.
  3. From the Available Themes section, click on the Theme title (or Theme screenshot) for the WorkingFolio Theme.
  4. A preview of the Theme will be shown.
  5. To activate the Theme click the Activate “WorkingFolio link” in the top right.
  6. Your selection should immediately become active.

Setting up galleries

  1. Log in to the WordPress Administration Panel.
  2. Click on “Gallery Posts” in the main menu and then click “Galleries”.
  3. Type the name of your new gallery in the Add New Gallery form and click the “Add New Gallery” button.
  4. Click on “Appearance” in the main menu and then click “Menus”.
  5. Create a new menu named “Galleries Menu” with the Create Menu form.
  6. Add new galleries to the galleries menu by selecting them from the Galleries list on the left. If you don’t see the Galleries list, your can add it to the page by clicking “Screen Options” at the top and checking “Galleries” in the list.
  7. In the Theme Locations form, select your Galleries Menu to show in the Galleries Menu position.

Adding artwork to galleries

  1. Log in to the WordPress Administration Panel.
  2. Click on “Gallery Posts” in the main menu and then click “Add New”.
  3. Type the title of the now piece of artwork in the title field, and any commentary you would like into the post body editor.
  4. Click the “Add An Image” button just above the Post Editor and Select a File. Your file will automatically upload.
  5. Click “Insert Into Post”. The Add An Image dialog should close automatically.
  6. Choose which gallery to put the new artwork into from the Galleries for on the right.
  7. Set the Size, Medium, and Year of your artwork from the forms on the side and click “Publish”
